Terms & Conditions

Booking

To check our availability or to make a booking please use our online booking system. All prices stated on our website are fixed and are shown as room only with the option given to add on breakfast. Breakfast can be booked at the time of booking or at any stage during your stay however reasonably notice should be given. Once a service has been booked it cannot be removed and therefore it will be charged. Should you be requiring a date which is in a following year please e-mail us info@hambleretreat.co.uk so that we can discuss your requirements. Please ensure that you read the room description fully as we accept no responsibility for errors made at the time of booking.

Deposit

We charge a deposit of a minimum 20% in order to make any reservation and this must be paid at the time of booking. A large amount may be due depending on when the booking is in relation to the date the booking is made. We regret that this is non-refundable, however under request deposits may be transferred to a future booking if availability permits but only when we receive a cancellation request outside of seven days prior to arrival, please see below. We regret that we are unable to make bookings over telephone or email as your card details are secured by our website and we have no method of doing this manually.

Cancellation

We understand that circumstances change and you may need to move your booking, however please ensure you read our conditions.

Should you choose to cancel your booking with us our policy is as follows:

Outside of seven days prior to arrival: Your booking will be cancelled however your 20% deposit is non-refundable. We may transfer the deposit to a future booking if availability permits under request.

Within seven days prior to arrival: Your payment is due in full. We will charge the card used to make the booking with the full balance owed.

No shows: If you fail to check in your payment is due in full and we will charge the card used to make the booking with the full balance owed. The room will also be released at midnight on the day check in was due.

Payment

Deposits can be paid using all major credit and debit cards with the exception of American Express. We do not make a charge for payments made. Balances are charged using the same card which was used to make the booking. Should you require to pay using Cash, Bank Transfer or an alternative card this must be stated at the time of or at the time of check in. We reserve the right to charge balances prior to departure however stays over one week will generally be charged on a weekly basis. Our prices do include VAT at 20% and you will receive a VAT receipt at the time of booking and again when any future payments are made

Children

We regret that children under the age of 12 are not permitted and over the age of 12 are classed as adults and full rate applies.

Check In & Check Out

As we are a small family run business we request that check in and check out times are adhered to. However, should you require a alterative time please make contact with us so we can work with your requirements.

Check In’s: 4pm until 10pm.

Check Out’s: 10am.

Food & Drink

We regret that the only meal available is breakfast and unless stated no food preparation facilities are provided. We provide an honesty bar which you are welcome to use as well as using our fridges and glasses. Tea & Coffee making facilities are in every room. The consuming of hot food within rooms is strictly prohibited out of respect for other guests. Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the buildings or balconies. A smoking area is designated and can be shown to you at the time of check in.
